The main legislative package on public procurement containing four draft bills was adopted in the Lower Chamber on May 10. The four draft bills had been passed in early February by the Senate, the first notified Chamber in this case. After a series of delays and interventions from Prime Minister Dacian Cioloș, the Chamber of Deputies finally passed the four draft bills in its plenary session held on Tuesday, May 10. The adoption of the legislative package required the Prime Minister’s intervention, who had warned that unless MPs pass the legislation, the Government was to assume responsibility for the bills and adopt the bills itself.
