PM Florin Citu had a meeting with representatives from the Foreign Investors Council where he called on investors to encourage their employees to get the COVID-19 vaccine. He claimed this is a necessary joint effort to return to normal and that all actors need to work towards this common goal. Furthermore, the PM announced that he will establish an inter-ministerial committee that will ensure Romania’s return to normality. This committee should include all ministers and representatives from syndicates and patronages. Several representatives from the HoReCa industry as well as foreign investors have already expressed their will to participate in the consultations with this Committee. The Decision to establish this Committee and its attributes were already published in the Official Gazette. President Klaus Iohannis participated at an event on climate change and public health organized at the Cotroceni Palace. According to the Presidential Administration, the purpose of this event is to generate a debate on health policies linked to environment protection in the context of climate change. At this debate, representatives participated from the World Health Organization, the UN Program for the Environment, the EU Parliament and the EU Committee as well as members of the Romanian Government and Parliament.
